In the green heartlands of Thylea, a shadow has awakened. Sydon and Lutheria have corrupted the spirit of the land itself, twisting an ancient boar into a monstrous force of destruction. Now, it rampages the countryside to the east of Estoria, leaving shattered villages and broken bodies in its wake. This is no mere beast; it is a warning. A herald of the doom the Titans intend to unleash upon the world.
For centuries, the Oath of Peace (appendix D) held the wrath of the Twins at bay, forged by divine hands to give mortals time to flourish. But the oath wanes, its power fraying. The Five Gods cannot protect the land alone. If Thylea is to survive, new champions must rise.
Kyrah has summoned the heroes to hunt the boar and put an end to the devastation that it is causing. Once the beast has been slain, the carcass should be burned as a sacrifice to one of the gods or Titans. Great fame and riches are promised to those who make such offerings. The Order of Sydon has demanded that the boar be an offering to Sydon, the Lord of Storms, but everyone in the world knows that such offerings can alter the balance of power among the gods.
