Level 1 Enchantment (Bard, Cleric, Warlock, Wizard)
You permanently bond yourself or another humanoid creature of your choice to a newly-hatched dragon. A dragon that has been bonded can never be so again with another creature, and a humanoid that has been bonded can never be so again with another dragon.
Dragon Growth. Your bonded dragon starts with the
- Hatchling stat block of the appropriate type. A dragon grows into the appropriate Juvenile stat block after six months (these stat blocks can be found in appendix J), and into the appropriate Young stat block after fifteen years. Controlling the Dragon. Your bonded dragon is
friendly to you and your companions, and it obeys your commands.
In combat, it shares your initiative count, but takes its turn immediately after yours. It can move and use its Reaction on its own, but the only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a Bonus Action to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you have the Incapacitated condition, your bonded dragon can take any action of its choice.
Falling Unconscious. If your bonded dragon reaches 0 Hit Points and doesn’t die instantly, it follows the Falling Unconscious and Death Saving Throws rules.
