Bronze automatons are masterful constructs forged with a blend of mechanical precision and divine magic. Their design, passed down by the gods, serves a singular purpose: war. These machines are not made for tasks beyond battle and are utterly focused on fighting until they are either destroyed or rendered inactive by disrepair. Their dependency on constant maintenance makes them ill-suited as long-term guardians, as they break down without regular upkeep. Typically, they can only function unattended for a few years before requiring attention from skilled enchanters.

They are war’s final prayer—burning, cracking, screaming without a soul, yet still too proud to fall quietly. —Chondrus, Priest of Lutheria

Constructed Nature#

Bronze automatons are the ultimate warriors. Unlike living soldiers, they have no need for air, food, drink, or sleep. They are relentless in combat, designed to carry out their orders with mechanical precision until they are completely destroyed.

Explosive Power#

At the core of each automaton lies an impressive, volatile mixture of elemental fire and bottled lightning. This combination fuels their incredible strength and speed, but also comes with a dangerous downside: When a bronze automaton is destroyed, the elemental forces contained within can be unleashed in a violent explosion. The resulting blast can be catastrophic for anyone standing nearby, turning the automaton’s destruction into a deadly final attack. Fortunately, bronze automatons are immune to lightning and resistant to fire, a protective measure that prevents them from triggering chain reactions that could devastate entire armies of automatons. Without this safeguard, a single damaged unit could set off a disastrous explosion that might obliterate everything around it, including other nearby constructs.

Bronze Strategos#

A unit of bronze automatons is often led by a Bronze

  • Strategos. These leaders wield magical glaives referred to as a Storm Dory.
