The Five Gods are gone. Their temples stand silent, their prayers unanswered. Thylea is a land without gods now, and such a balance cannot endure. A question looms over every city and every battlefield. Who will ascend to form the next pantheon?
Some whisper that the old gods might return. Kyrah, Pythor, Vallus and Volkan once safeguarded the mortal races, and their absence has left a void that many would see restored. Others look to the Heroes of Prophecy, champions who carried Thylea through its darkest hours. If they saved the world once, could they not rule it as gods?
The fallen god Narsus believes the answer is simple. Beauty made him divine once, and he hungers to claim his old throne. Beneath the Cerulean Gulf, ancient powers stir, imprisoned since before the First War. They proclaim that the future belongs to them.
Yet there is one who rejects all gods. Why should Thylea need divinity if no mortals remain to worship it? Lutheria, mistress of dreams and death, has returned from the underworld. She moves like a phantom through the shadows of her deserted temples, guiding the world toward oblivion. Her nightmares coil around the minds of mortals and dragons alike.
It begins with war. Two mighty city states prepare to tear each other apart, and in the smoke of their burning walls the end of Thylea will draw near.
