Dominated by the proud city of Aresia, the peninsula has long stood apart from Thylea in culture and politics. Aresia’s white walls crown the forest canopy, its disciplined warrior monks patrol the terraces, and the legendary Palladium (appendix C) hardens the city against siege. Generations of Mytrosian armies have tested its gates; none have prevailed.
Beyond the walls stretches a rugged realm of spruce forests and swift waters, threaded by the mighty Thrake River. To the north hides the Fort of Zakroth, a vast earthen citadel where a former Mytrosian slave-warrior has forged a brutal coalition of centaurs, minotaurs, and gigantes. Empowered by the divine Ambrosia (appendix C), Zakroth proclaims himself Hergeron’s chosen and schemes toward godhood.
South of the city, mist shrouds the Barrows, where crimson-cloaked monks keep watch. Within those hills linger Aresia’s darkest legacy: the vampire line of King Karpathos and the whispering shades of his spawn. Sealed chambers deeper still guard the Caduceus, a divine staff said to raise gods.
