Lutheria has set a final plan into motion, one that threatens to unravel everything the heroes have fought and bled for. Beneath the surface of Thylea, in the black depths of the Nether Sea, ancient forces stir. These are not mere beasts, but primordial monsters, chained since the dawn of time. They are creatures too terrible to name, imprisoned by the gods themselves in the age before memory.
Now, their bonds begin to break. At the heart of this apocalyptic scheme lies the Apokalypsis Stone (appendix C), an artifact older than the world itself. Lutheria unearthed it in a distant realm, a place beyond Thylea’s stars, and has twisted its purpose to serve her own madness.
When the Apokalypsis Stone turns, Thylea’s greatest cities will be crushed beneath the weight of monsters long forgotten. This is not conquest. It is not revenge.
It is the end. Unless the heroes figure out how to stop these titanic engines of destruction, the world will come to an apocalyptic end. This adventure should serve as an explosive finale to your campaign. By the end of the Apokalypsis, the heroes will be level 20 and will have most likely achieved the prerequisites to becoming gods. This chapter works best if the heroes have completed the adventure described in the Sunken Kingdom chapter, but it’s not required. In any event, it is suggested that several years have passed since the Battle of Mytros.
