Weapon (Trident), Legendary (Requires Attunement)

At the height of the Gygan Empire, Emperor Surnak of the Endless Storm forged a trident tempered in his daughter’s blood to slay the kraken ravaging his realm. Wielding the sacred weapon, he struck down the sea titan and banished it beyond the Forgotten Sea, securing his empire’s peace. You gain a +3 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

Monster Slayer. Whenever you hit a Monstrosity with an attack roll using the trident, the target takes an extra 3d6 Radiant damage. If the target Monstrosity also has a Swim speed, it takes an additional 3d6 Necrotic damage.

Sentience. The Trident of Andromeda is a sentient Lawful Neutral Trident with an Intelligence of 12, a Wisdom of 10, and a Charisma of 16. It has hearing and Darkvision out to 90 feet. The weapon speaks Common and communicates telepathically with the creature its attuned to. It speaks in the female voice of Andromeda, the daughter of Emperor Surnak who was sacrificed to create the weapon.

Personality. The Trident of Andromeda wishes to be destroyed so the soul of Andromeda can pass on to the afterlife. Her soul was unwillingly tied to the trident, something she has never forgiven.

Destroying the Trident. The Trident of Andromeda can only be destroyed by a Wish spell or by being melted in a forge while covered in gygan blood.
