This section describes the god Narsus. Details on other gods can be found in appendix A of The Great Labors.

Narsus, God of Beauty#

Narsus (CN Adult Bronze Dragon) is the lost brother of Kyrah, Pythor, and Vallus, transformed long ago from a vain bronze dragon into the God of Beauty. The transformation was glorious—and destructive. His mortal worshipers adored him, but the other gods rejected him as selfish, unreliable, and unwilling to honor the divine compact. He was taken captive by Queen Calliope’s ancestry and imprisoned beneath Aresia.

Narsus never forgave them. He spent centuries in contemplation, sculpting visions of perfection, and unraveling metaphysical secrets. In time, he discovered the ritual of Theogenesis, a process by which mortals might ascend to godhood. Narsus claims to understand the full cost of divinity: immortality without freedom, eternity without the gift of death.

Narsus is convinced he must shape a new pantheon—one that reveres beauty, art, and passion, not power. Whether he intends to elevate the heroes, use them, or simply admire them is unclear even to him.

Narsus’s Motivations#

Narsus wants to reclaim his godhood and surround himself with those capable of appreciating and perpetuating beauty. He has no desire to rule through violence or bureaucracy; he wants to birth legends. If freed, he will offer Theogenesis to whomever achieves deeds worthy of eternal admiration … or simply whoever fascinates him most.

Roleplaying Narsus#
