Discovery Domain#

With their connections to the gods of the Stone Court, Clerics are important contributors to raiding life. The Discovery Domain concerns itself with sailing, exploring, and seizing the riches to be found. These Clerics often serve as raid captains or navigators and within each clan they are honored, respected, and at times, feared. They have a favored god but respect them all and their divine power comes from the entirety of the Stone Court.

Level 3: Discovery Domain Spells#

Your connection to this divine domain ensures you always have certain spells ready. When you reach a Cleric level specified in the Discovery Domain Spells table, you thereafter always have the listed spells prepared.

Level 3: Expert Mariner#

You are trained for long travel, navigation, and fighting across coasts, rivers, and open water.

Bonus Proficiencies. You gain proficiency with Martial Weapons, Cartographer’s Tools, and Navigator’s Tools.

Eye of the Navigator. When someone makes a History, Survival, or Perception check to locate or learn where a place is, you can choose to give them a +5 bonus to their roll. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom Modifier, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a Long Rest

Powerful Swimmer. You have a Swim Speed equal to your Speed, and you can hold your breath for twice as long as normal.

Level 3: Channel Divinity: Drowned Breath#

Level 6: Drowning Grip#

You can now activate your Drowned Breath by expending a use of Channel Divinity when a creature fails a saving throw against one of your spells.

In addition, a creature affected by Drowned Breath cannot cast spells requiring a Verbal component.

Level 17: Surveyor of the Depths#

You gain the ability to breathe underwater, and your Swim Speed doubles.

You always have the Tsunami spell prepared. You can also expend a use of Channel Divinity to cast it without expending a spell slot.
